Artifacts reflecting the Lavoisiers' personal and professional activities, including two briefcases owned by Antoine Lavoisier (one when he was a child); a Masonic apron; shoe buckles; a library ladder; three small purses of jetons (metal pieces resembling coins) that Lavoisier received for attendance at meetings of government bodies, including the Académie des sciences and a committee on agriculture and commerce; a medal from the Caisse d'escompte; two small games of fortune telling; a cosmetic case designed to resemble a two-volume book; and the original copper plate for Plate VIII of the Traité élémentaire de chimie.
